3. save as whatever.bat, ex: putra.bat
4. Activate it by click.
5. A shutdown or log-off window will come up with the amount of time, your comment, and a bunch of other stuff. You can not abort the shutdown with task manager by trying to close the window or delete the processes.
6.To Abort virus Click so that your PC is not shutdown: START - RUN and type command: shutdown -a before remaining time is over.

2.Running in full screen can make them even scarier. Right click on the icon -> properties -> options -> full screen

Yet more Gmail Labs features arrive in your email account today: the ability to relocate your labels list and Gmail chat box to the right of your inbox instead of the left. If you've got a widescreen monitor and a long buddy list and/or label list like the developer, this relocation could cut down on scrolling time to get to your labels or chat. Hit the Labs tab in your Gmail account's Settings area to enable these and any of the other 22 experimental features now available.
VideoLAN just released VLC media player 0.9.2. VLC is probably the best known open source media player, and supports most audio/video formats without additional codecs. Before VLC, we usually installed buggy codec packs to watch videos in Winamp or Windows Media Player. We’ve found the nightly builds to be pretty stable for the past month, but it’s nice to see the final version released.
Download Squad gushed over the new interface design, but omitted the real change — VideoLAN switched from wxWidgets to the Qt toolkit. Among many changes, Qt allows video effects to be applied without restarting the media.
One of our favorite new features is an adjustments and effects menu for quick picture, sound, and subtitle tweaks. What’s this? Is this a Photoshopped image? Nope. You can insert your own custom "builders" logo in Windows XP, 2000, 2003 server (and probably several other flavors of Windows all the way back to Windows NT 4.0) by doing the following: 1. Create a 180×144 image, save as oemlogo.bmp to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder.
2. Create a text file called oeminfo.ini save it to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder and have it contain the following information:

The support information text is what appears when you click on the "Support Information" button in System Properties. Not really necessary but you can put it there if you like.
If you build your own computers with XP this is a cool way to give it that extra custom touch. You can put your photo or company logo or whatever you like.

If you've ever come across a media file that wouldn't play in your media player, this is the answer to your needs. It installs the codecs--short for coders-decoders--that your media player needs in order to play back many different kinds of media.
After a virus attack in one of my client machines, the folder options from the windows explorer was missing and we were unable to show all the files including the hidden ones. So here’s what I did to restore it back:
Windows only: Desktops, a new Vista-compatible 1.0 release from Microsoft's Sysinternals team, is a multi-desktop tool for Windows users who don't want, or can't afford the system resources for, a complete virtual desktop solution, such as VirtuaWin. Desktops simply asks you to assign universal shortcut keys for desktop switching between a maximum of four (Shift+Ctrl+F1, for example), and then nests in your system tray to offer thumbnail views and switching by clicking. One plus is that Desktops doesn't load new memory-hogging desktops until you create them. The big downsides are an inability to drag apps between desktops, along with incompatibility with some tools (Firefox, Launchy, and anything that doesn't like multiple instances, for that matter). So it's mostly a simple means of keeping full-screen email, browsers, office apps, and other programs separated, but it does that pretty well—with improvements, hopefully, to come. Desktops is a free download for Windows systems only.
I found that I could easily visit sites like slashdot, Google, or even this weblog, when adding a ?.jpg at the end of the url. The next logical step was to automate that. I downloaded Greasemonkey and wrote a 4 line script that would add ?.jpg to every link in a document. That way I was able to browse most sites without a hassle.
This trick will only work on Wi-Fi networks that allow images to go through without a redirect, and though it may seem like a bit of a stretch, it's better than shelling out $7 for 30 minutes of Wi-Fi. Unfortunately the author didn't make the Greasemonkey script available, but even without it you could get in some decent browsing. The post isn't new, and I haven't tested this, so if you've ever used this trick or you're at an airport or Wi-Fi hotspot and can give it a try, let's hear how it worked for you in the comments.
